Outside

The Deep Freeze of 2021 browned out a lot of our grass…but it will be back, and soon we’ll be doing Senior’s Yoga on the back lawn and enjoying lemonade on the front porch rocking chairs.

Resident Rooms

Each resident room is luxuriously furnished and decorated – including a queen bed, a comfortable chair, dresser, night stand, dressing mirrors, television, and intercom. Residents are always welcome to redecorate and/or refurnish the room to reflect their own personality and create their own space.

The LBJ Room features a headboard from a luxury boutique hotel in Austin frequented by LBJ. It has a full walk-in closet and a private entrance to a shared bathroom.

The World Traveler room features a rich red velvet bed, and is adorned with accent pieces from around the world. It features a built-in desk and dresser, an oversized closet, a private entrance to a shared bathroom, as well as a private entrance to the covered back patio.

Common Areas

Our library boasts a collection of some of the finest authors through the ages.

Food is both fuel and medicine, and our exquisite dining experience elevates both.

You’ll find several conversational areas throughout our home. Some are perfect for relaxing with your feet up. Others are great for an engaging game of checkers, chess or Othello. And the library has the perfect lounge chairs for enjoying a good book.

Food

We get our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs from local farmers. They taste great on their own…and better with thick-cut bacon.

Blackened Tilapia with Pontchartrain Sauce, cilantro rice, and broccoli roasted with garlic and butter.

Grilled ham and cheese with beet, mango, spinach, quinoa and goat cheese salad with a balsamic dressing.

This is our family’s favorite comfort food, handed down from Tracy’s great-grandma. We call it “beef and noodles.” But really, it’s a little bit of Heaven on Earth.

Even leftovers are decadent at our home. Quesadilla’s with Miss Missy’s Sweet Chipotle Garlic Salsa and a side of chicken and veggie rice.

Homemade bread and home fries with thick-cut bacon, Goolsby’s country sausage, and farm fresh eggs.

This meal was a family effort. Macy made the garlic carrots. Iain made the stuffed mushrooms. Eryk made the rosemary rolls, and Melissa and Tracy made the rotolo – a homemade pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta baked in a marinara sauce.

Another family favorite – the Hunt Chocolate Cake with mocked whipped cream frosting.
